Major changes occurred at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with the formation of the Marine and Fisheries Products Quality Control and Supervision Agency (BPPMHKP) in early 2024 which is tasked with being the Competent Authority for the Quality Assurance System for Marine and Fisheries Products from upstream to downstream including the supply chain.With a wide range of control, namely a guarantee system for fish hatchery units, cultivating units, suppliers, fish processing units, fishing vessels and retail, BPPMHKP is committed to continuing to maintain the quality and safety of marine and fishery products in Indonesia.
